It was an excellent place to get some exhaust work done on my vehicle! The guy was very nice! & extremely knowledgeable! He knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle! & fixed it quickly at an extremely reasonable price! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have some exhaust work done on their vehicle!

Needed some exhaust work including a new muffler for my '53 Customline and Jim knocked it out of the park. He walked me through a few options he had in stock and I went with his recommendation of the classic GT muffler that went perfect with the original low compression flathead. He even had the period correct exhaust tip on the shelf, but he made the less flashy turndown tip I wanted instead. His prices are so reasonable, I had the opposite sticker shock I was expecting when he gave me his quote for the parts and work. He was careful and gentle with the car like it was his own so I had no concerns about leaving it with him. I showed up to my appointment with a car that sounded like a boat engine out-of-water and left with exactly the kind of refined rumble I wanted in the time it took to have a relaxing brunch around the corner. The car runs noticably better now and Jim even suggested a parts store where I was able to buy some hard to find classic parts. Overall, I love the car even more now and I couldn't be happier that I came to Monterey Muffler!

If I could give Jimmy a 10 star review I would. I am newer to the area and I was referred to Jimmy for a potential issue. Not only was he able to get my car in within 24 hrs he did the inspection and I was on my way quickly. I would recommend Monterey Muffler to anyone. Thank You

Jim at Monterey muffler is the absolute best place if you need exhaust work he is a master at what he does Jim thank you for the excellent work many places would not work on my race cars Jim had no problem putting exhaust on all of my race cars now he’s almost like a family member with all the exhaust. He’s done for me. Unbelievably nice guy with the best prices you could ask for. And if you have a hot rod that you want the coolest sounding car possible this is the place to go. He’s done many of my hot rocks also

Absolutely fantastic to deal with the lovely crew here. Jim/Jeffrey (so sorry I'm blanking on his name) absolutely took care of me and was more than realistic with pricing to install a aftermarket wideband O2 sensor in my aftermarket stainless headers so I can properly tune the vehicle later on. Told me 2 weeks but got me in before then and looked over my 90 miata and pointed out some things I never even knew about exhausts. I will always bring my vehicles here for exhaust work and repairs from now on. Fantastic crew and extremely pleasant to deal with. FYI the owners have changed the hours to 830-430 (see earlier picture) so the owners can take care of themselves medically. Much love
